Firstly, the government embraced her findings and recommendations from work on the deposit insurance coverage limit and structure of deposits for the Jamaican banking system, which Parliament made legally effective in 2007. Secondly, she pioneered and established an online financial education and information center, helping the country and diaspora with financial literacy and providing tools for making wise financial decisions since 2008. She has multiple certifications in various professional and technical competencies and is a member of the Phi Alpha Alpha Global Honor Society for excellence in leadership, outstanding scholarship, and accomplishments in public affairs. Before embarking on her professional journey, she earned a double honors Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Statistics in 2002, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics in 2007. While working full-time in government regulations, she attended law school and attained the Juris Doctor (J.D.) equivalent, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with honors in 2015. As a Scholar-Practitioner in the United States, Ms. Marshall is on a mission to complete her 4.0 Doctorate (Ph.D.) specializing in Law and Public Policy. She aims to do so with an award-winning dissertation that contributes to social change in the United States federal agencies' rulemaking for consumer product, financial, and data protection under the Administrative Procedures Act of 1946.
