Since founding Creative Minds Tutoring, LLC, in 2020, Mrs. McKinney has conducted tutoring sessions herself and supervised other tutors. Other responsibilities include overseeing social media marketing efforts, coordinating and conducting assessments, and handling other administrative duties as necessary to run all aspects of the business.
A positive person with a calm and patient demeanor, Mrs. McKinney holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from North Greenville University. Additionally, she has completed business management courses. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in 2010, Mrs. McKinney served as a homeschool co-op educator, the lead teacher at a STEAM academy, and a public teacher with Greenville Country Schools. She was inspired to establish Creative Minds Tutoring, LLC, while teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking toward the future, Mrs. McKinney is excited to move her business into a larger facility where she can offer a comprehensive range of educational services and potentially develop educational products. Outside of work, Mrs. McKinney enjoys spending time with her husband, an exceptional and supportive partner, and her two sons, ages 18 and 14. Her hobbies include kayaking, hiking, travel and producing educational videos for children, which she published on YouTube.
