He also manages his deli and eatery in nearby Missoula, Montana, selling a range of quality hot and cold dishes and a full breakfast and lunch menu seven days a week.

Having grown up on a farm, Mr. Kouf developed a strong work ethic while coming of age. His property, which was purchased by his family in 1985, was managed by his parents, Jim and Lynn Kouf. Assuming ownership of the business, he maintains the family legacy, supervising all operations and his team of managers responsible for the ranch, meat shop, and deli.
Drawing a sense of accomplishment in managing what is now among the few thriving ranches and shops in the nation, Mr. Kouf concentrates on providing unmatched products to his customers, infusing his meats with the traditional Italian lifestyle in which he was raised. Among a range of meats, Double K raises, processes, and transforms on-site animals into quality dry-cured salami, prosciutto, and whole muscle products, including steaks, chops, burgers, and sausage.
As a longstanding resident of the community, Mr. Kouf contributes to various local charities by donating and participating in fundraising campaigns that support public schools and fire and police departments.
Mr. Kouf completed college coursework while studying abroad in Florence, Italy at Marist College, where he fell in love and garnered a strong passion for cured meats and then continued his college courses at Montana State University in Bozeman. To remain aware of developments in his industry, Mr. Kouf is an active member of the Montana Meat Processors Association and the American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP).
As a testament to Mr. Kouf's hard work, Double K Ranch was recognized with the Montana Meat Processors Association Award for its salami in 2022 and also received national recognition in 2023 with an award from the AAMP for its dry-cured Coppa.
