Drawing on more than 10 years of experience as a designer of audiovisual systems, Mr. Latta has thrived as a systems designer for Bravas LLC, which is owned by Presidio Investors, since 2022. In this capacity, he specializes in designing audiovisual entertainment systems for luxury residences across the United States. Mr. Latta also focuses on developing user-friendly designs and digital interfaces for Bravas' television, media, and private cinema offerings. Alongside his responsibilities with Bravas, Mr. Latta has excelled as a project manager, service manager and as a system designer for the SES Design Group for more than 10 years.
Mr. Latta's initial involvement in the field of audiovisual systems came about entirely by chance. While living overseas in Yemen with his father – a structural engineer aiding in the construction of a new American embassy at the time – he joined U.S. Aide, a company that sought to assist the local population in addressing agricultural challenges. Despite knowing little about computers at the time, Mr. Latta joined the company's computer department and learned how to repair computers and printers.
Drawing inspiration from what he'd learned in Yemen, Mr. Latta returned to the United States and studied electronic engineering at the ITT Technical Institute, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1992. Despite having been hired as a project lead for Bank of America during this time, his cousin called on him to join an audiovisual technology startup a friend was establishing, where Mr. Latta ultimately worked for two years as a systems designer. By this time, he was married and expecting his first child, prompting him to join Aveon Inc. in 2006. Departing from Aveon in 2011, he subsequently delved into his current endeavors.
To stay up to date with the latest developments in his field, Mr. Latta maintains an active affiliation with the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA).
In 2021, Mr. Latta was honored with a plaque on behalf of SES Design Group to commemorate 10 years of service. He attributes a great deal of his success to his father, who taught him the value of an exceptional work ethic at a young age. Mr. Latta is particularly proud to have become a certified Electronic Systems Designer (ESC-D) through CEDIA, which required the completion of a rigorous examination. In the coming years, he intends to continue expanding his professional skill set by becoming an Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) with AutoCAD, which is a prominent design software application developed by Autodesk Inc.
