Ms. Whitebird previously worked for Clear River LLC in Laughlin, Nevada, for over five years, a company that cultivates and produces cannabis. Her career in the field notably began as a gardener, shortly after entering into the industry receiving a management position and in that time she conducted extensive research with plant scientists and frequently traveled and attended international conferences. In her cannabis career, Ms. Whitebird has garnered recognition for helping to develop an advanced and intelligent fluid system called Alice that can monitor pH and nutrients, determine when they are off balance, monitor data, and provide different water sources, among other capabilities.
Besides her full-time endeavors, Ms. Whitebird is a talented artist who has illustrated three published children's books. She also has exhibited and auctioned off her artwork at the Heard Museum in Phoenix for several years.
Ms. Whitebird belongs to the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and was raised on the reservation. Continuously striving to be active in her community and helping others in theirs, Ms. Whitebird has been a board member of the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, partnered and started her own art scholarship to help students with costs not covered by traditional scholarships, was a member of the Grain Valley Partnership, has donated profits from her artworks to local families in need in several states, and has donated advanced graphic designing equipment, computer, and softwares to a local school so students could learn industry standard processes early on for a career advantage.
As a testament to her commitment to the field, Ms. Whitebird is also a member of the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association. She has also been recognized with several accolades starting in her youth, including but not limited to invitations to join the National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security, Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense, awarded and recognized for her dedication to the Arts Community for several years, receiving a finalist award in the state pageant, and being awarded the Chair's Choice Award from the Heard Museum.
