Driven to dedicate himself to his country, Mr. Green joined the U.S. Army in 1983 and spent 34 years serving. He advanced from Private to Lieutenant Colonel with his early active-duty time in the 82nd Airborne and company command as a Captain in Hawaii. He served two tours as an Inspector General and was Chief of Facilities Planning for eight states in the Southwest before completing his service in 2017. Upon returning to civilian life, Mr. Green felt compelled to assist veterans in making the transition as well, which he is currently doing through My Silver Boots as President and is planning a non-profit, "Warrior Journey," to continue that work. He is an investor and part owner in a new India energy company, German Premium Lubricants Private Limited.
He has written or published in a plethora of books, including "Warriors Code 001, Seven Vital Steps to Resiliency," "Step Out, Step Up," a Lifetime of Transition and Military Service, a book the Vice President of Creative Development at Harper Collins made a read to lead pick. In conjunction with his work, Mr. Green serves as a board member with Third Wave Volunteers, who recognized him for his expert operational presence in five hurricanes. His story of Gold Star Harley and Harley Davidson sharing logos in his veteran books is a remarkable testament to his work.
An expert in his field, Mr. Green earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management at Concordia University before receiving his JD from William Howard Taft Law School. Outside of his work, he is a member of the Lake Nona Toastmasters and loves reading and fishing. Over the years, he has also fostered a love for martial arts, earning a 4th degree Taekwondo Black Belt. His athletic history is found in the book "One Team One Fight One Family" as a world-class competitor in two National Championships and pioneer of the first-ever Army team. He was inducted into the Armed Forces Taekwondo Hall of Fame. Mr. Green is a decorated veteran. He was awarded a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and Silver De Fleury Medal through his service with the U.S. Army and is a lifetime member of the Reserve Officers Association.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Green takes the most pride in assisting others. Although hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his achievements to four life-changing mentors coupled with self-motivation and a desire to stay in the fight. Looking towards the future, Mr. Green is working on a documentary, "Veterans Across the Heartland." He would like to become a renowned New York Times Best Selling Author with his upcoming business book or his new novel, "Whisper, The Coal Miner's Daughter," which details the lives of his parents' families who were coal miners in the State of Missouri.
