VERNON HILLS, IL, November 11, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Maas has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Backed by years of professional expertise, Mr. Maas presently excels as the chairman of Dancing Goat Distillery, where he works alongside his son, the innovation manager. In this capacity, he serves as a mentor and adviser to the management team and formulates new products and brands. Prior to obtaining his current role, Mr. Maas is best known as the developer of the RumChata brand, which he devised entirely from scratch in his own kitchen. Over the course of more than a decade, the brand expanded to become a huge success, exceeding $100 million in sales. Similarly, Mr. Maas worked as a partner with Midwest Custom Bottling LLC and as the founder of Agave Loco.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Maas gained valuable expertise in the liquor industry as the vice president of global brand management for Jim Beam, in senior executive positions in marketing and sales for Jack Daniel's and Canadian Club, and as a group brand director of liqueurs for Hiram Walker Inc.
Outside of his work, Mr. Maas contributes to his community as a past board member of the Riverside Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to support mentally disabled adults. Having previously served as president of the organization for two years, he is proud of Riverside's efforts in establishing a charitable trust, through which funds and donations could be gathered for various other nonprofit endeavors, such as food banks, educational development programs, and disaster relief.
An expert in his field, Mr. Maas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the Wisconsin School of Business and an MBA in marketing from the DePaul Driehaus College of Business, in addition to his 45 years of experience in the liquor business.
In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Maas was nominated for a Westinghouse Award in 1980 and received several awards from a number of charitable organizations. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in developing the RumChata brand, which is sold in more than 25 countries around the world and was featured as a clue on the popular television show, "Jeopardy." He is also gratified to have contributed to a research project that evaluated the inner city market in Chicago on behalf of Jack Daniel's. The cornerstone of his overall success lies in his strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity, which was instilled in him by his father, and in his desire to continue learning. Looking ahead, Mr. Maas aims to pass down his legacy to his son and provide him with all the opportunities that he had while growing up.
