Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in materials management, Ms. Tipaldo has earned distinction as the executive director of the U.S. Plastics Pact. Since 2020, she has focused her efforts on representing a broad cross-section of industry, nonprofits, academia and the public sector to create an understanding of materials management. She is also committed to ensuring the nonprofit organization stays true to its vision and mission, holding transparency to be a core tenant of their work.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Tipaldo served as a paralegal engaging in document management for Pat Taylor Associates in 2009 and became the office of general counsel coordinator for the American Chemistry Council later that year. She was promoted to a manager of regulatory and technical affairs in 2011, to the director within the department in 2013 and to the director of plastics packaging and consumer products in 2014. She subsequently served as the director of strategy and business development for More Recycling in 2018.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Tipaldo was named a Rising Star by Plastics News in 2015 and was recognized as one of the Women Behind Innovation at the 2017 Edison Awards. She also was listed among the Waste360 40 Under 40 list by Informa in 2023.
To prepare for her professional journey, Ms. Tipaldo earned a Bachelor of Arts in American studies from the University of Mary Washington in 2006. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Arts in international relations from the University of Westminster in 2008.
Looking to the future, Ms. Tipaldo intends to continue working with U.S. Plastics Pact achieving significant milestones for the organization. She is proud to have been able to authentically bring together the value chain to accomplish challenging goals throughout her career. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, she has lent her expertise to Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) since 2020 and regularly volunteers at beach clean-ups.
