Ms. Guercy most recently found success as an executive communications manager at Cisco from 2021 until 2023, during which time she primarily worked to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency enterprise-wide across more than 81,000 employees globally. She also served on behalf of the senior vice president in producing senior-level communications, fielding media requests, collaborating with other team leaders to execute various projects and providing executive coaching to SVPs/leadership teams on delivering presentations and communicating with all audiences. She previously held positions in account management and business development at LivePerson from 2019 to 2020, and at Cambridge Security Seals between 2014 and 2018. During the early stages of her professional journey, Ms. Guercy worked as an office administrator at Vision Plus and began her career as the assistant to the managing director of the writing center of what is now Alliance University in 2009.
Outside of her primary endeavors, Ms. Guercy has strived to serve the broader community as an advocate on the subject of grief and navigating difficult life transitions as a Christian. Knowing loss to be an intrinsic aspect of the human experience, she works to unpack the unspoken effects of grief and complications surrounding secondary losses and help others move on to the next chapter of their lives. In addition, she is an active member of ForbesBLK, an organization that promotes the achievements of Black entrepreneurs and professionals. Previous civic involvements to Ms. Guercy's credit include her volunteer work for the Birthday Party Project, Keep Rockland Beautiful, the International Gathering at Beth Rapha and the Nyack Homeless Project.
Ms. Guercy initially studied psychology at Alliance University, where she played for the women's soccer team and attained a Bachelor of Arts. Following this accomplishment, she went on to attend Mercy University, through which she completed a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in management. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Guercy maintains her affiliations with the National Sales Network and National Black MBA Association, as well as ColorComm, a leading women's platform for communications, media and advertising professionals.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Guercy credits the multifaceted span of her career, through which she has learned many transferable skills, all of which have been integral to her ongoing growth. She is also gratified to enjoy the everlasting love and support of her family, including her parents, Jacques and Guetelyne, her brother, Robertson, niece Gianna and nephews Jordan and Ethan; and other members of the family including Kennia, Chudney, Tatiana, Fatima and Vallery.
