He currently holds the distinction as a senior project executive with CBG Building Company since 2016. Impacting real estate developments in their early life cycles, he has focused his efforts on pre-entitlement consulting, preconstruction, budgeting, design-build team management, and follow-through with supporting field operations. Commencing new projects with notable clients including The Irvine Company, Metropolitan Republic, Sares Regis Group, The Michaels Organization, and US Air Force, among many others he has the ability to balance costs and aesthetics from early concept through project completion. He holds a certification in LEED AP Building Design + Construction from Green Business Certification Inc. from the United States Green Building Council and is a University of California, Irvine Customer Experience Board Member.
Mr. Kelly initially underwent an internship as an assistant superintendent with Morse Diesel International in 1989, rising to become a project manager, project designer and construction manager for George R. Greenbank, Architect and Associates in 1992. Following this time, he was a project manager and associate for SB Architects in 1998 until becoming a design-build senior project manager and solar development manager for Lend Lease in 2003. In 2013, he served as the director of pre-construction services with Western National Contractors in 2013.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Engineering within the University of Notre Dame in 1992 with one year studying urban planning in Rome, Italy. Additionally, he co-founded a new Chapter of Habitat of Humanity at Notre Dame and summer internships with Morse Diesel International. Soon after, to ensure a continued well-qualified foundation, he elected to assist in the construction of the projects that he designed as a part-time carpenter.
Within the coming years, Mr. Kelly intends to utilize his success to help others achieve their goals, supporting his family, colleagues, and company alike. His ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on a larger population, continuing his effort to ensure others succeed and thrive in their professional and personal lives.
