Currently, Mr. Gabris is pursuing an LL.M. in Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark College.

Mr. Gabris currently practices toxic tort defense as an associate attorney with DeHay & Elliston, LLP. Prior to obtaining his current role, he served as an intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois, a law clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice (ENRD), a NETI honor's law clerk for the U.S. EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, and a law clerk for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General (Environmental Bureau). Over the years, Mr. Gabris has also worked as an industrial chemical salesman and as a door-to-door solar energy consultant.
Mr. Gabris has twice presented at the Global Ecological Integrity Group's (GEIG) annual summer conference. First at the 2022 conference hosted by the University of Salerno, Italy, discussing Zero-Tolerance for Environmental Crimes: Going Scorched Earth to Save the World. And again at the 2023 conference hosted by the University of Potsdam, Germany, discussing The Cultural Rights Argument of Indigenous Peoples in Pursuit of Environmental Justice. Mr. Gabris earned an Associate of Arts from the College of Southern Nevada in 2014 at the age of sixteen, before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2016 at the age of eighteen. After working several years, Mr. Gabris returned to school at the Northern Illinois University (NIU) College of law where he received his Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) in 2023. While at NIU, Mr. Gabris served as an Associate Justice for the law school's Moot Court Society, and was an editor for the school's law review, including time served as the journal's Editor-in-Chief. Currently, Mr. Gabris is pursuing an LL.M. in Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark College.
While his career has been filled with many highlights, Mr. Gabris is passionate about his work at DeHay & Elliston, taking pride in zealously representing his clients in complex litigation. When he is not working, Mr. Gabris enjoys golfing, hiking, camping, and fishing.
