Having begun his career in the industry as a service member in the U.S. Army Reserve, Mr. Lassiter had the opportunity to garner experience in health care and oversaw combat support hospitals as an administrator. Among his most notable achievements, he successfully established a 365-day field hospital in Iraq, which was heavily utilized after his camp had been attacked several times. The hospital was also capable of performing field surgery and high-quality health care. Mr. Lassiter subsequently became an administrative assistant to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs chief of staff, an administrative officer for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the director of facility accreditation for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Looking toward future career endeavors, Mr. Lassiter aims to earn the title of a health service executive. He also envisions becoming more diverse in the consulting industry, imparting his knowledge across the health care spectrum. Moreover, Ms. Lassiter is adamant about working with a consultive team that drives cutting-edge technology and high-quality health care.
Highly educated, Mr. Lassiter holds a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Auburn University since 2006, a Master of Science in health care administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham since 2012, and a Master of Public Administration from Troy University since 2012.
As part of his continued commitments to the industry, Mr. Lassiter is a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
In light of his accomplishments, Mr. Lassiter was recognized by his alma mater, Auburn University, in 2023 among the Top Black Alumni. Grateful for his achievements, he credits his ability to connect with like-minded individuals and build teams effectively to accomplish his goals. Mr. Lassiter also notes his very supportive wife, who enabled him to continue his education and travel to conferences to develop his skillset and expertise.
