Ms. Uetrecht completed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1989. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Southern California in 1995. Despite her original plans to pursue a PhD and enter academia, she ultimately felt that becoming a professor would not be the right match for her personality. As a result, she explored other career options and ultimately learned to operate trucks and trailers. Through hard work and perseverance, she gained a foothold in the heavily male-dominated trucking industry and eventually started her own successful business.
In the course of her ongoing professional development, Ms. Uetrecht has maintained a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double-Triple endorsements. Spirit Trucking LLC maintains State of Texas HUB certification, and is certified as a Small Business Enterprise and a Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise. Ms. Uetrecht is an active member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.
Outside of work, Ms. Uetrecht enjoys spending time with her family, including her spouse, her 22-year-old son, and her three older brothers. Her hobbies include tinkering and relaxing outside, and she is a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society.
