For more than two and a half decades, he dedicated himself to his work and furthered his education, studying diligently until he passed the American Institute of Architects exam. Following his tenure with STV, Mr. Rothenberger gained valuable expertise in the field with design and architecture firms SHW Group and Ewing Cole.
Drawing on years of experience in design and planning on college campuses, Mr. Rothenberger presently excels as the Global Higher Education Leader for DLR Group, an integrated design firm, specializing in architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, building optimization, and much more for higher education institutions. In this capacity, he oversees a team of gifted professionals around the world, many of whom he has hired and mentored himself. Likewise, Mr. Rothenberger maintains responsibility for the financial performance of the Higher Education practice, which is expected to generate $50 million in the coming year.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing changes in the industry, Mr. Rothenberger aligns himself with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA). While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in cultivating successful leaders within and outside of DLR Group.
