Licensed to practice law for more than 60 years, Mr. Tanenbaum is a personal injury attorney whose practice, The Law Offices of Jay H. Tanenbaum, is located in the heart of New York City. He established his firm shortly after completing his schooling in 1964 and has built a reputation for excellence in his particular practice area of litigation. Prior to his career in law, Mr. Tanenbaum spent four years as an international trader with the Associated Metals and Minerals Corporation, also in New York City.
During his notable career, Mr. Tanenbaum served as a corporate counsel for the International Gate Corporation and the General Gate Corporation. He has also been active with the New York State Bar Association, the New York Trial Lawyers Association and the Bronx County Bar Association. Mr. Tanenbaum is admitted to practice by the New York Bar, as well as the Southern District of the U.S. District Court of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Tanenbaum graduated high school at age 16, borrowed $300 from his father to buy a car to drive to college, graduated at 19 years old and was a lawyer by 22.
Married to his wife Linda Goldman since 1961 with two children, Mr. Tanenbaum has been showcased in every edition of Who's Who in America since 1997, as well as multiple editions of Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1954, Mr. Tanenbaum went on to pursue a Bachelor of Laws and Doctor of Jurisprudence at Union University, graduating in 1957 and 1961, respectively.
Notably, Mr. Tanenbaum was named to Knighthood by His Royal Highness The Prince of Cittanova and His Royal Highness The Prince of Trabzon in 2001. In addition, he is a longtime member of St. James in London and Le Club in New York.
