A skilled writer and businesswoman with more than three decades of excellence in sales and marketing, Ms. Cantin is the principal and president of the Cantin Group, LLC, a marketing and strategy consulting firm. Since, 2011 she has focused her efforts on strategic marketing and consulting with Fortune 500 and leading Medical Device Companies. Since 2020, she has also been speaking and writing on resilience and how to move forward in life after enduring a life-altering, tragic event.
Ms. Cantin also authored "Where Yellow Flowers Bloom, A True Story of Hope through Unimaginable Loss" released by Precocity Press in 2023, which was a Bronze level winner in the "Better Living Now Book Awards", Inspirational Memoir - female category. The book is also a finalist in the American Book Fest, 20th Annual Best Book Awards 2023. The book centers on her experiences with tragedy, losing her house, husband, son and dog due to the Montecito Debris Flow mudslide. She and her daughter narrowly survived the destruction with the support of their compassionate community.
Before starting her own company, Ms. Cantin enjoyed a 19-year career with Johnson and Johnson. In 1992 she was recruited to Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a division of Johnson and Johnson as a sales representative established to support the emerging laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical market. She became a field sales trainer and then in 1996 she was promoted to Clinical Education Manager. In that role, she would help coordinate surgical training programs taught by pioneering minimally invasive surgery surgeons for surgeons, residents, and operating room personnel. After completing her Master of Business Administration from the University of California Anderson Graduate School of Management, she was promoted into the EES Corporate Offices as General Surgery Marketing Manager. Seeking commercial acumen expertise, she had various positions of increasing responsibility including Sales Manager, Field Sales Director and in 2005, she relocated back to the corporate offices as the Group Product Director of the Advanced Energy Portfolio. During her career she was selected as the marketing lead on a key acquisition. She later became the Director of Marketing for the Breast Aesthetics franchise. She later served as the Senior Director of Marketing Communications and Strategy for Teleflex Urology established after the acquisition of NeoTract/UroLift.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Cantin earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1988 and earned her Master of Business Administration from UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management in 1997.
