Mr. Chelle is distinguished for more than 15 years of leadership in product development and business management. As founder and chief executive officer of AB7 America, Inc., he has developed and registered pet care formulations for U.S. markets based on products originally made by its parent company, which is located in France. Before commencing AB7's U.S. operations in 2011, Mr. Chelle served as the parent company's export director, forging its path into German, Italian, Scandinavian, South African, Japanese and other markets worldwide, and served as a product manager then global marketing manager in a DuPont Semiconductor division.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Chelle obtained a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at the École Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques et Technologiques (ENSIACET) in 1995. He served in the French Air Force before relocating to the United States to work as an engineer for Baikowski while following graduate studies, earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1998.
Though his professional career has been filled with many memorable moments, Mr. Chelle's greatest pride is establishing his U.S. business; he truly built AB7 America from the ground up, a feat that required exceptional dedication. In considering the root source of his impressive work ethic, Mr. Chelle credits his parents Eliane and René. His father, René, a self-made man overcame limited educational opportunities in his village to earn a degree in engineering and created the AB7 Group in France in 1971. The entrepreneurial mindset and dogged determination instilled in Mr. Chelle by his father continues to influence him to this day.
Outside of work, Mr. Chelle enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their two children, Andre and Alana, as well as his brother, Christophe, and sister-in-law, Marie Rose, both working for the AB7 Group in France. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, especially playing tennis, running, biking and swimming.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Chelle is excited to expand the reach of his country's private-label products in the United States. Eventually, he envisions developing further AB7's own ALZOO™ brand with such unique sustainable innovations that stand apart from its competitors.
