Mr. Steffler is an instrumentation, automation, and controls engineer celebrating more than 15 years of career success in electrical automation and industrial controls. He attended Idaho State University, earning an Associate of Applied Science in energy systems instrumentation and controls engineering technology in 2008 and a Bachelor of Applied Science in instrumentation and controls engineering technology in 2010. Mr. Steffler holds numerous industry certifications, including a Manufacturer Technical Representative credential and Rockwell Automation certifications in PlantPAx system integration, control discipline and visualization systems, and low-voltage drive systems.
Mr. Steffler began his career in 2006 as an electronic technician II for JT3, and spent three years as an energy systems instrumentation and controls instructor at Idaho State University, an experience that he considered formative to his professional philosophy. In 2010, he became a nuclear operator II at the Idaho National Laboratory, spending the next year developing his knowledge of the laboratory's specialized working environment and constraints. Mr. Steffler worked with CH2M HILL as a flow measurement instrumentation technician through 2011 before joining Control System Technology, where he excelled as an automation engineer until 2013.
Since 2013, Mr. Steffler has been the owner of Automation Werx, LLC, where he additionally serves as a project manager and automation and controls engineer with a focus on water, wastewater, and agricultural systems integration. Automaton Werx, LLC is one of an exclusive group of PlantPAx-certified integrators for Allen-Bradley equipment, and the company has handled major industrial contracts including potato packing sheds and automation for the Idaho Jersey Girls Dairy, one of the largest milking facilities in the United States.
Mr. Steffler credits his success to his commitment to quality and seeing each project through to the end, regardless of the work or hours required. He looks forward to continuing to build Automation Werx, LLC, by doubling its operational capacity and seeking more certifications and a higher level of vendor partnership with Rockwell Automation in the coming years. Outside his work with the company, Mr. Steffler is active in the community as a member of the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer for his church's various outreach projects. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, hunting, and four-wheeling.
