Much more than just tea, Ms. Dotson-Leverette hosts tea parties, and provides wellness coaching, customized programs, special event organic drinks, speaking engagements, individual consultations and more. Some of her signature in store products include sea moss, elderberry, and black seed oil.
Looking toward future success, Ms. Dotson-Leverette aims to grow her business by offering more alternative services such as earth based facials, head & scalp detox, wood therapy services, and more how to classes on essential oils, tea blending and more. She is eager to continually progress in the industry and is very thankful for the ongoing support of her clientele. Ms. Dotson-Leverette is most proud of the hard work her daughters put in behind the scenes to support the business.
During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Dotson-Leverette worked in the corporate sector as a recruitment and retention manager. She managed a team of 80 or more employees. She also became a licensed cosmetologist and worked as a pharmacy technician. While in the pharmacy sector, Ms. Dotson-Leverette struggled with the amount of medication people were putting into their bodies. Ultimately, she walked away from that career field and years later established Debbie's Got the Tea, LLC.
In her community she established her own organization called the Heart of the Community. Ms. Dotson-Leverette gives back to various communities, including her own with food, clothing, temporary housing, permanent housing, counseling, job opportunities, fresh start programs, children advocacy, and elder advocacy. Ms. Dotson-Leverette believes in helping and not enabling. Her goal is to lead by example. By doing so, those she encounters will want to grow. Aligned with various local nonprofit organizations, Ms. Dotson-Leverette is the Vice President of Chains Broken Deliverance Ministries, a 501 c3 organization that helps individuals and families who have been tarnished by domestic violence. As well, Ms. Dotson- Leverette serves on the board of the Cleo Bailey Experiment as the Community Relations Coordinator. The Cleo Bailey Experiment is a community wide program that provides programs, food, outreach, and support to an underserved area in Anderson, SC.
Ms. Dotson-Leverette graduated from McDuffie High School in 1988. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with an associate degree in human services in 2021.
Recognized for her accomplishments Ms. Dotson Leverette was featured on the cover of HÛAMI magazine (2021) as an up and coming entrepreneur, and she received a You Rock award from her own community (2021). Ms. Dotson-Leverette was recognized by the Anderson County Human Relations Board as a Black History Maker (2021.) Ms. Dotson-Leverette was featured on a segment of Mindful Mondays on FOX 21 and she has been featured in the Anderson Independent Mail and WYFF News 4 for her community endeavors including her political campaign run for Anderson County Council in 2021.
Ms. Dotson-Leverette is the host of the Tippy Show talk show which streams on YouTube. She is a fashion model for House of Patricia Ann in the Republic of Ecuador. She attributes her success to her faith, God's grace, her family, consistency, and perseverance.
Ms. Dotson-Leverette is the proud mother to the very beautiful Kiara and Dominique. She is the grandmother to the cutest grand boys; Jakyrie and Josiah.
