After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Boston College in 1993, Mr. Gilardi went on to attend Columbia University, where he furthered his knowledge and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School in 1999.Upon graduation from Columbia, he joined Merrill Lynch as a junior research analyst, working his way up to the Managing Director Level in 2016 as part of a distinguished 23 year career as one of the leading industrial analysts on Wall Street, most recently covering some of the largest and most important global industrial companies in the world, including Caterpillar and John Deere.
For his outstanding performance, Mr. Gilardi was consistently recognized by Institutional Investor as one of the top analysts in his various fields. His experience included a four-year assignment in Europe from 2009-2012 in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. Over the course of his career, Mr. Gilardi has the unique distinction of being awarded the highest honors from Institutional Investor on two different continents in two completely different sectors.
In June 2022, Mr. Gilardi made a successful transition to corporate life in becoming the Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Techtronic Industries (TTI). TTI is the largest and fastest growing cordless power tool company in the world with iconic brands such as Milwaukee Tool and Ryobi. His day-to-day responsibilities are now focused on educating the investment community on TTI and the power tool industry and developing a more international shareholder base for TTI, which is headquartered in Hong Kong. As an American, Mr. Gilardi received top honors as the number one investor relations professional in Asia Industrials in Year One of eligibility, according to Institutional Investor.
In all Mr. Gilardi has navigated and accomplished thus far, he credits a steady intellectual curiosity, persistence, competitive spirit, street smarts, and highest level of integrity as keys to his success. In recent years, he has developed a passion for long distance running and recently completed the 2023 New York City marathon, which was his third full marathon in three years. He is also an avid world traveler since backpacking around the world with his wife Christy of nearly 25 years for nearly 11 months in 2003-2004. Mr. Gilardi is also father to two amazing kids, Lena (17) and Lucas (14).
