Mr. Zimmerman has extensive knowledge regarding water resources and environmental restoration. Before joining Precision NDT LLC, he was a senior geologist and project manager at American Safety Services Inc. in Odessa, Texas, from 2015 to 2023, an organization known for providing exceptional services specific to the oil and gas industry. Mr. Zimmerman also worked as a geologist for eTech Environmental & Safety Solutions Inc., as a project manager and geologist for Terracon in Midland, as a senior geologist for Tetra Tech in San Bernardino, California, as a geologist for Science Applications International Corporation Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, and as a senior project leader for Weston Solutions Inc. in San Antonio.
Active in his civic community, Mr. Zimmerman was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America, receiving numerous merit badges and earning the rank of Eagle Scout. It was notably during his time that he initially became interested in science and the environment.
Becoming highly educated, Mr. Zimmerman achieved an Associate of Arts in business administration in 1980, a Bachelor of Science in geography, and a Bachelor of Science in geology from PennWest Clarion. He also received a Master of Art in environmental geography from Kansas State University. Mr. Zimmerman holds credentials as a certified professional geologist and is licensed to practice geology in multiple states. He also has designations through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in health and safety supervisory and construction safety and has completed Loss Prevention System training and Confined Space training.
