As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Notestine is a notable author who has been writing for much of her life. She has garnered considerable recognition for her literary contributions, many of which have been written for children. Perhaps most recognizable is her Molly & Grainne series, which comprises seven books for children ages eight through 13. Among them include "The Seven Foot Long Dog," "Cowboy Tails," "Jingle in the Jungle" and "Olé Molé: A Molly and Grainne Story." The most recent in its series, "Mystery Key: The Adventures of Molly and Grainne," was released in December 2023.
Besides her children's books, Ms. Notestine has published several adult-themed books. Looking toward the future, she aims to write another adult book and shift her focus to young adult content. Some of Ms. Notestine's books have notably been published under the pen names Elizabeth Aaron, Echo Bird, and Dustbunny Too.
A native of Newark, New Jersey, Ms. Notestine has since resided in Texas, Mexico, and other parts of the country before settling in North Carolina. She has also enjoyed a diverse, rewarding career as the former president of a holding company, an accountant for an oil and gas company, co-owner of a jewelry business, and cattle and horse rancher.
Additionally, Ms. Notestine had the opportunity to manage a parrot rescue in Florida, which involved caring for 35 macaws. Her affinity for tropical bird rescue stemmed from the time she spent living just south of Cancun, Mexico, with her husband, through which they housed one of the last flocks of scarlet macaws and numerous parrots. Ms. Notestine spent four years researching the birds, their behaviors, dietary habits, and socialization patterns, and subsequently authored several books on tropical birds.
