A career that began in 1978 as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Milton spent 10 years in the military. He was subsequently hired by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a nuclear project engineer, having spent over a decade in his position. Over the next 20 years, Mr. Milton garnered experience with several other organizations, including Serco as an ERP project manager from 2008 to 2015, Client Solutions Architects in various leading roles between 2015 and 2022, including as a senior consultant and deployment site cutover lead, and Reliability & Performance Technologies as a senior program analyst in 2022.
As a dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Milton has supported numerous missionaries in the U.S. and overseas. He also served as the regional director for Destination Imagination between 1992 and 2005. The nonprofit organization notably inspires and equips youth to imagine and innovate through the creative process and embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging via various programs.
Mr. Milton's educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in marine engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1978, an engineering degree in nuclear engineering from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Engineer in 1982, and a Master of Business Administration in acquisitions from Strayer University in 2013. He also received credentials as a project management professional through the Project Management Institution, an organization he is presently a member of.
While working with the government, Mr. Milton received several monetary awards and other recognitions. He dedicates his success to several individuals who have invested in him, including his parents and several former teachers. Looking toward the future, Mr. Milton envisions retiring from his full-time work, relocating south, and mentoring students.
