As the director of operations at 202Bars, Ms. Dike leverages her significant expertise in the hospitality sector to successfully manage her role. Promoted to her position, she previously served as a general manager for one of the organization's six Washington, D.C., locations. 202Bars notably comprises a family of bars and restaurants throughout the Washington, D.C., area, offering a unique, sophisticated vibe, great food and drink, and a fun and engaging atmosphere at each location. After completing her master's degree, Ms. Dike completed a preservation internship at the Historic Congressional Cemetery in 2014. She simultaneously worked for the Vendetta & Capitol Lounge as the assistant general manager and front-of-house manager from 2013 to 2015 before being promoted to general manager between 2015 and 2021. Ms. Dike also spent a year as the general manager at the Union Pub in 2021 before being promoted to her present position.
Despite overcoming numerous challenges in the industry, including the devastating effects that Hurricane Katrina had on the restaurant industry in 2005 and the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected restaurants all over the country, Ms. Dike remains committed to the hospitality field. Firmly believing that it plays a vital role in the community, she derives a great sense of satisfaction in serving her loyal customers.
Among her future goals, Ms. Dike envisions continued growth and expansion by opening two additional locations in other states. Cincinnati and Charleston are presently two top contenders for 202Bars' exciting endeavor.
Ms. Dike graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology from Shepherd University in 2012 and a master's degree in historic preservation and architectural history from Plymouth State University in 2013. She also received a graduate certification in organizational leadership from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2017 and certification in hospitality administration and management from Florida Atlantic University in 2020.
