Mr. Lewis is a retired information technology AD analyst consultant for MetLife in Alpharetta, Georgia, who served in his position from 1998 to 2009. He has since excelled in the nonprofit sector as the auxiliary president at Northside Hospital Forsyth, a full-service community facility in Cumming, Georgia, that employs over 300 physicians across more than medical specialties. Working among a team of auxiliary volunteers that assist with various activities, such as flower delivery and gift shop retail support, helping with patient families, and shuttling patients and visitors to and from the parking lots and the hospital, Mr. Lewis derives tremendous satisfaction in giving back.
As a dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Lewis initially became a member of the Northside Hospital Forsyth in 2009 before being elected as the vice president of volunteer placement in 2010. He notably became motivated to volunteer at the hospital by his late wife, who had also volunteered there for many years.
Among other interests, Mr. Lewis has been engaged with several local nonprofit and civic organizations, including the Georgia Worship Choir as a choir member and several area food banks as a volunteer. Most notably, he was instrumental in the founding of The Resource Center. As a dedicated member of the Center's scholarship committee, Mr. Lewis has spearheaded assembling a meticulous packet utilized during the scholarship review process.
Crediting much of his success today to maintaining good health via an active lifestyle, Mr. Lewis looks forward to eventually parting ways with Northside and lending his time to another hospital closer to home. Mr. Lewis enjoys giving back and believes in loving God, one's country, and the many people he encounters through his volunteer efforts.
Mr. Lewis holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Georgia State University. He also completed coursework at Georgia Institute of Technology.
During his successful career, Mr. Lewis was recognized with an award for an annuity project that he was involved in with several other colleagues. His success, he noted, was due to his tireless work ethic and desire to succeed.
