Likewise, he honed his expertise in cardiology nursing, education, and utility safety with Adirondack Health, Northline Utilities, LLC, Hudson Valley Community College, and National Grid.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Martin earned an Associate of Applied Science in Ecology and Environmental Technology from Paul Smith's College. Similarly, he became a certified paramedic through Hudson Valley Community College. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a diploma in mountain medicine from the Wilderness Medical Society, an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from North Country Community College, and several certifications in utility safety, wilderness life support, nursing, pediatric and neonatal critical care, and ski instruction.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Martin aligns himself with the American Heart Association, the Wilderness Medical Society, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. In conjunction with his work, he has contributed to his community through the Whiteface Mountain Gondola Evacuation Team, North Country Life Flight, Lower Adirondack Medical Rescue Group, and the National Ski Patrol.
For his outstanding body of work, Mr. Martin was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and named the Whiteface Ski Patrol Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and 2015.
