An orthodontist by training, Dr. Smith received his dentistry degree from Temple Dental School in 1969 and completed the orthodontic training program at the International Association of Orthodontists in 1976. In the early 1980s, he joined a chiropractic study group, which ultimately became a turning point in his career; as a result, he began taking post-graduate chiropractic studies classes in nutrition, osteopathy and physical therapy. A self-described truth-seeker, Dr. Smith credits his success to his unwavering desire to seek knowledge.
