She graduated from New Mexico State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and later acquired a reading endorsement. Civically invested, Ms. Trujillo has been active with various causes. She supports the Angel Tree Project through the Community Against Violence Program and has done so for several years. This year, she began collaborating with her local school superintendent in an effort to find ways to give back to teachers. Her first project included a back-to-school event that involved ordering 350 candy bars and making homemade notes to thank and recognize them for their commitment to their students. Furthermore, Ms. Trujillo believes in helping people in the community and family members who are in need.
Among other involvements, Ms. Trujillo recently served on the State of New Mexico protest board. Active in her industry, Ms. Trujillo has served on the board of directors of the Taos County Association of REALTORS since 2020.
