During the early stages of his career, Mr. Yu gained valuable expertise in law through fellowships, internships, and externships with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, where he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Solomon Oliver, Jr. Before establishing his reputation in the legal field, Mr. Yu earned a Bachelor of Arts (graduating with Great Distinction) in Political Science and East Asian Studies from McGill University and a JD from Case Western Reserve University's School of Law.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing changes in the field of law, Mr. Yu aligns himself with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Asia Pacific Lawyers Organization in Cleveland, Ohio. Devoted to his community, he serves as a deacon with the Korean Central Presbyterian Church of Cleveland. Moreover, Mr. Yu serves as an advisory counsel for the Korean American Association of Greater Cleveland. In recognition of his professional achievements, Mr. Yu has received a Clients' Choice Award from AVVO every year since 2016.
