MIDLAND, GA, January 05, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Herman B. Williams, CFEI, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Williams has worked as a personal financial advisor for over a decade and holds certification as a financial education instructor (CFEI), which he received through the National Financial Educators Council. In an effort to seek out educational opportunities to aid his own financial decisions and retirement planning as well as dive deeper into the many facets of financial literacy and money management, he pursued a bachelor's degree in business administration and management through the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama, which he earned in 2010 at the age of 52. Thereafter, he continued on with his learning.
In 2015, Mr. Williams completed the executive program and financial planning course through the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia—all while continuing to work as a plant manager at a large electric utility company, the Southern Company, a company where he was employed for 35 years. Through a combination of his life experiences, which also includes having served in the United States Air Force for four years, and his formal education, he went on to establish ATM Financial Services in 2012. Mr. Williams founded his company on the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to live the American Dream, and such a belief motivated him to turn his passion for learning about money into a tool to teach and help others invest and manage their money better, leading to a more productive and goal-oriented life.
Through both his business and other civic engagements, Mr. Williams continues to devote his time to aiding others. Since 2016, he has served as a mentor and volunteer through SCORE Mentors and has been involved with Kiwanis Club, a nonprofit organization. Through Kiwanis and the Boys and Girls Club of Chattahoochee Valley, he introduced and taught a nine-week program for students in Columbus Georgia, grades 11 and 12, which aimed to teach them about finances, living on their own, and encourage financial literacy—early education that is still lacking in school curriculum, and that he wished he had received at such an age.
In all Mr. Williams has pursued and accomplished, he credits his success to his unwavering personal determination to positively impact as many lives as possible. He consistently thinks about new ways he can connect with and assist people, and his spiritual beliefs play a significant role in his passion to fulfill his life's purpose of serving and supporting others as they find their own purpose and success in life. Looking forward, Mr. Williams desires to keep educating the youth and adults on financial literacy and money management and reach more underserved populations, including veterans and women.
