Dr. West capably coordinates rehab in skilled nursing facilities, and manual physical therapy in outpatient clinics by training clinicians to apply diverse technology and hands-on techniques across varied platforms of therapeutic interventions.
A varied career has enabled Dr. West to accumulate valuable experience. She served as a staff Physical Therapist with SportsSpine Outpatient Physical Therapy in Cleveland, Ohio from 2001 to 2007. She relocated to Arkansas and accepted a position as a staff Physical Therapist with Saline Memorial Hospital, where she excelled through 2015. She held a concurrent role as a Supervising Physical Therapist and Managing Partner with Ortho Rehab & Specialty CTR's, LLC in Little Rock, Arkansas between 2007 and 2015. Then Dr. West transitioned to Texas for a supervisory role with Reliant Rehabilitation from 2015 through 2021 while establishing Restorative Manual Physical Therapy & Fitness, LLC in 2017.
Dr. West holds exceptional academic credentials, including a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from The Ohio State University, which she finished in 1997. She subsequently pursued graduate work at Cleveland State University where she received her Certificate of Physical Therapy Education in 2001, becoming licensed by the state of Ohio for clinical practice in December of that same year. Notably, Dr. West completed her Doctoral studies at The Ola Grimsby Institute in San Diego, CA, in 2010 becoming a Fellow of the American Academy. Dr. West went on to complete clinical research with an Oral Defense earning her DMT: a Doctorate in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in 2015.
A commitment to service and to maintaining a viable network also defines Dr. West's professional profile. Since 2015, she has held membership in the American Physical Therapy Association, and she has been the acting scholarship chair for the American Academy of Physical Therapy since 2006.
