With nearly five decades of experience to her credit, Dr. Doreen Bolger has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of art history. Specializing as a curator of paintings and sculptures, she previously served as the director of The Baltimore Museum of Art from 1998 until her retirement in 2015. Though she has retired from the position, she continues to operate as a consultant for arts and nonprofit management in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to retiring, Dr. Bolger held many other positions in her field, working as a director at the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1994 to 1998 and as a curator at the Amon Carter Museum from 1989 to 1994 and the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1982 to 1989.
