Recognized for her professional success, Dr. Casey is a double board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgeon affiliated with the Center for Surgical Dermatology & Dermatology Associates in Westerville, Ohio, since 2009. In her role, she provides comprehensive routine and surgical skin care services to patients. Dr. Casey has also been the director of Dermatologic Surgery at OhioHealth since 2013 and a Mohs surgeon and Dermatologist at QualDerm Partners since 2017.
In addition to her primary medical career goals, Dr. Casey founded Bright Girl by Angela Casey, MD, a skincare company incorporated as an LLC in 2019. As the first brand of its kind to hit the market, Bright Girl skincare caters to a younger generation of females. On a mission to help girls everywhere develop good, preventative skincare habits, Dr. Casey offers a full collection of products to help them create a daily routine that will promote a lifetime of healthy and smart skin, including facial cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreens, and more.
Among other accomplishments, Dr. Casey taught as an assistant professor of dermatology at The Robert Larner MD College of Medicine, University of Vermont, from 2007 to 2009. She has also garnered success teaching the dermatology residency program at OhioHealth.
As a dedicated civil advocate, Dr. Casey has contributed to various causes supporting youth education and those with disabilities and medical conditions. She has also been affiliated with the New Albany Women's Network, a philanthropic organization devoted to women and children in and around New Albany, Ohio, and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, a leading nonprofit dedicated to helping women-owned businesses thrive.
Dr. Casey graduated from high school as the valedictorian of her senior class in 1995. She subsequently studied at Vanderbilt University, earning a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in molecular biology and mathematics in 1999, and at the University of Louisville, receiving a Doctor of Medicine in 2003. Additional educational pursuits to her credit include a residency in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in Mohs surgery and Procedural Dermatology from The Robert Larner MD College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Casey also received credentials as a double board-certified dermatologist.
As part of her continued professional commitments, Dr. Casey is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
In recognition of her hard work in the field, Dr. Casey has received several Teaching Awards and was named among the Columbus, Ohio, 40 Under 40. She was also a finalist for the Theodore Tromovitch Award from the American College of Mohs Surgery.
