Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Mr. Teffera began his career in Hawaii's building industry in 2005. Since then, he has developed an extensive knowledge of construction on the islands, including its unique challenges. As a result of his expertise, Pacific Island Construction LLC was named one of 2023's Top Ten Roofers in the State of Hawaii by Building Industry Hawaii, and it was the recipient of a 2022 Top Contractors People's Choice Award. Under his stewardship, Pacific Islands Group, LLC, has also evolved into a flourishing enterprise, boasting an impressive $8 million in revenue and a dedicated workforce of 35 employees.
Prior to purchasing his company in 2020, Mr. Teffera served as director of sales of Pacific markets for Tremco Incorporated, a construction products manufacturer, and as a sales representative for Dietrich Metal Framing Canada, Inc. earlier in his career, a division of Worthington Industries of Columbus, OH.
Mr. Teffera holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. As a commitment to his field, he has been active with a number of organizations pertinent to his profession. He is a former president of the Construction Specifications Institute and a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association International, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Roofing Contractors Association of Hawaii, and the Building Industry Association.
As his business grows, Mr. Teffera aspires to replicate and extend the triumphs he has achieved.
