Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in the field of medicine, Dr. Haldar has earned distinction as a primary care physician with Cooper Green Mercy Health Services Authority (CGMHSA). On one hand he is known for his skills in primary care (with work experience in outpatient Internal Medicine department), whereas on the other hand he also has experience in Clinical Pathology (credentialed by the American Board of Pathology). Since 2022, he has focused his efforts on caring for his patients, most of whom are adults or geriatric patients. He has a particular passion for practicing in underserved and rural areas, recognizing there is an unmet need for healthcare in these regions. Additionally, he is a valued member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the American College of Preventive Medicine, the American College of Physicians and American Society of Clinical Pathology.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Haldar was a clinical research assistant at Avanti Hospital in India in 2007 and was a duty medical officer at Rajagiri Hospital later that year. He continued his career as an Anatomy and Physiology lab instructor at Texas Woman's University (TWU) in 2008 and took a role as a visiting associated research scientist at the Yale University School of Medicine in 2012. Following this time, he was a research assistant at the University of Texas Southwestern (U. T. Southwestern) Medical Center at Dallas, when in 2013 he matched for the resident physician position at the University of South Alabama Hospitals at the same time. In 2017, he joined as a primary care physician in the Internal Medicine department at Franklin Primary Health Center Inc. In 2018, he was given the additional responsibilities of the position of Deputy Director of Medical Laboratory. He further served as a physician at Capstone Rural Health Center from 2020 until 2022.
Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Haldar was awarded third prize in the Graduate Student Research Symposium of the Federation of North Texas Area Universities in 2010 and received the Students Travel Award for his presentation at the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Neurochemistry the same year. He was presented with the Chancellor's Student Research Scholar Award in 2010 and 2012, and was also awarded a Certificate of Merit by the interdisciplinary honor society Phi Kappa Phi to recognize him as an outstanding scholar in 2011 and 2012. It did not end there. In 2012 he was also honored with the Helen Haddix and Robert Deiker Award as well.
To prepare for his medical career, Dr. Haldar earned his degree in Medicine from the N. K. P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, India, in 2006. Following this achievement, he completed his internship there in 2007 and attained a Master of Science in biology from TWU, Denton, TX, in 2012. He subsequently completed his residency in Clinical Pathology and Anatomical Pathology from the University of South Alabama in 2017.
Within the coming years, Dr. Haldar intends to contribute more to patients both in the United States and India. He aims to become part of larger community health systems or organizing health camps that offer free health services to individuals in need and is presently engaging in spreading his name and goals to others as part of this effort.
