This role followed his time as an adjunct instructor at Webster University in Denver from 2012 to 2014 and a master patient index analyst at Children's Hospital Colorado from 2009 to 2012. His career includes a stint as a customer care representative at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Colorado from 2008 to 2009 and a unit liaison at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center with the United States Army from 2003 to 2008. Dr. Williams's military service spanned two decades, culminating in his retirement as a senior manager with the rank of sergeant first class in 2008.
Dr. Williams' educational background laid the foundation for his professional achievements. He earned a Doctor of Public Health, with a concentration in health leadership and advocacy, from Capella University in 2017. Prior to that, he completed a master's degree in health care administration from Webster University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science in health care administration and management from the University of Phoenix in 2007. The guidance and support of his first squad leader, Sgt. John Trapp, was pivotal to his development and success.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Williams dedicates time to nurturing young bowlers' talents, contributing positively to their growth and the community. His commitment to mentorship echoes his military experience, where he inspired soldiers to become leaders themselves. An avid bowler who also enjoys walking and racquetball, Dr. Williams is currently advocating for the expansion of academic offerings at Colorado State University Global by proposing new undergraduate, graduate, and certificates for the health care administration program.
