Founded in 1951, BCMC strives to provide quality health care services to the residents of Bradley County and the surrounding area. During Ms. Huitt's role as the interim CEO, the hospital was recognized as one of just 11 hospitals in the state to earn the Performance Leadership Award in Quality from the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. The facility was also named a National Silver Certified Sleep Hospital for its commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep in 2023.
Bringing a wealth of industry experience to her latest roles, Ms. Huitt spent over two decades in accounting, including nearly 10 years in management positions. Recruited from the Division of Legislative Audit in Arkansas, she also held the title of business manager and district treasurer for the Hermitage School District, where she previously taught. Moreover, Ms. Huitt garnered experience as an accountant with Murphy Oil Company.
A native of Arkansas who was notably born at BCMC, Ms. Huitt graduated from Hermitage High School in 1998. She subsequently received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration from Harding University in 2006. She also received credentials through the National Rural Health Association's chief executive officer certification program and designation as a certified public accountant. Active in her professional community, Ms. Huitt is a prominent member of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In light of her success, Ms. Huitt was recognized as the Chief Financial Officer of the Year in Arkansas Business in 2022 and among the Top 100 Women of Impact by the Women's Foundation of Arkansas and Arkansas Business/Soiree in 2023.
