Before her present role, Ms. Bradford served as a Senior Business Evaluation Analyst for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) in 1998 and was promoted to the Manager of Strategic Planning in 2003, overseeing strategic planning, performance management, customer market research and economic analysis with a cross-functional team of staff. She was further promoted to the Director of Corporate Business Strategy and Analysis in 2003 and became a Strategic Planning Manager for Deloitte Consulting through Thompson Technologies in 2011. In 2012, she took the role as the Senior Strategic Manager for SRA International and was a Capital Business Analyst consultant for Carter Consulting Inc. in 2013.
An award-winning strategic planning planner and financial analyst at the federal government level, Ms. Bradford was honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the Biden Administration in 2023 for contributing over 4000 hours of volunteer service toward the advancement of women entrepreneurs. She also received the Next Gen Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and a Certificate of Appreciation for advancing awareness around mental health from the National Alliance on Mental Illness in the same year. Also an accomplished author, she co-authored two volumes of "31 Ways of Influence," which are based on the reference to Proverbs 31 and focus on her financial stewardship from an entrepreneurial perspective. In addition, she co-authored "Expert Profiles" which features conversations with influencers and innovators, highlighting their challenges and how they overcame them in the marketplace. LaWanna has ventured into television production, launching three groundbreaking shows. Power of the Pen, Choose to Challenge, and Business & Financial Raw Talk that enable LaWanna to amplify women's voices, challenge restrictive societal norms, and inspire viewers to transform into their best selves.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey as a statistician for the Department of Defense, Ms. Bradford earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Arizona. She earned a Master of Public Administration in Administrative Organization and Management from Golden Gate University. Following these achievements, she attained a certificate in Quality Management from Southern Polytechnic State University as well as a certificate in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston, and is a certified Diversity & Inclusion Trainer. She is also a valued member of the Strategic Planning Community Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
