In her capacity at the company, she is responsible for bridging the gap between research and development and market needs, focusing on optimizing filtration and separation processes to help advance and lower the production costs of green and blue hydrogen. Prior to her current position, she initially joined the Pall Corporation in 2008 as a senior scientist – a role in which she contributed significantly to advancements in filtration technology for the petrochemical industry.
Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt's path from Venezuela to becoming a leading figure in her field has been marked by resilience and dedication. Her work has not only positioned her as a leader locally but on the international stage. To wit, she has been invited to various speaking engagements around the world, including at the 2023 World Hydrogen Congress in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Her commitment to environmental sustainability has also been instrumental in her career progression, leading to the development of Pall's Hydrogen technology road map, which aligns with her passion for reducing carbon emissions.
Before embarking upon her professional journey, Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt studied chemical engineering and chemistry at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2002. Following this accomplishment, she went on to attend the University of Houston, from which she attained a Master of Science in 2004 and a Doctor of Philosophy in chemical engineering in 2007. Throughout this period, Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt served as a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the university. In this role, she contributed extensively to microbial detection, gene expression and nucleic acid separation research efforts, and supervised over 25 undergraduate students.
Well-regarded for her scholarly output, Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt has written a number of scientific articles that have appeared in such prominent publications as Biodiesel Magazine, Biofuels International, BusinessGreen, Energy Global, Engineer Live, and GreenBiz, among others. Her journal contributions also include the FEBS Journal, Analytical Biochemistry, and the Journal of Biotechnology.
To commemorate her many accomplishments in the field, Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including an award for the "Best Oral Presentation" at the 2006 Annual OCHEGS Symposium, a second place ranking out of more than 100 poster presentations at the 2005 Keck Annual Research Conference and the Stella L. Erhardt Memorial Fellowship Award in 2002 and 2003.
Outside of her vocational efforts, Dr. Anez-Lingerfelt is deeply connected to her family; she has been married since 2007 to a fellow chemical engineer and she is the proud mother of a six-year-old son. She also enjoys such cherished pastimes as dancing, Zumba, and playing soccer. Looking toward the future, she aims to expand her research horizons by collaborating with universities and organizations over the next five years to further contribute to advancements in hydrogen technology and environmental sustainability efforts.
