BEAVERCREEK, OH, January 12, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patience Orobosa Olajide has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 2020, Dr. Olajide has served on the faculty of Clark State College where she interacts closely with a diverse student body and excels in a mentorship capacity. She brings exceptional applied experience to the role, having served as a visiting scientist with the Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology at Tel-Aviv University in 2008 and completing an internship in the Communicable Disease Section of the Department of Public Health in San Bernardino County between 2012 and 2013. Dr. Olajide also manages two concurrent teaching appointments: she was welcomed by La Sierra University in 2014 as an adjunct assistant professor and has taught at the rank of adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University from 2015 to 2020. Dr. Olajide also taught in several other institutions before joining Clark State College in 2020.

Distinct academic accomplishments further define Dr. Olajide's profile and include a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University in her home country of Nigeria. She then earned a Master of Science in microbiology before pursuing a terminal degree in the field, and she completed a PhD from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2007. Notably, Dr. Olajide was gratified to accept a comprehensive scholarship for study in Australia while enrolled in the doctoral program.

Dr. Olajide is proud of her deliberate decision to relocate to the United States in 2009 to engage in additional graduate coursework where she accumulated positive experiences in higher education that further shaped her approach to mentorship and teaching. Dr. Olajide now holds a Master of Public Health from California State University, which she completed in 2013.

A commitment to realizing her objectives is critical to Dr. Olajide's academic and professional advancement. She also credits caring, compassionate advisors for inspiring her to in turn serve others in the capacity of an educator. Dr. Olajide is humbled to earn her students' respect and positive course evaluations, in part due to her awareness of the high cost of textbooks and the adoption of Open Educational Resources in her microbiology class.

Dr. Olajide maintains an active network through membership in the American Society of Public Health, and she earned a mentoring fellowship from the American Society of Microbiology. She looks forward to continuing her important work at Clark State College and to forging productive relationships with both students and colleagues.
