GREENSBORO, NC, January 15, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Olivia Miller has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A motivational leader with more than a decade and a half of experience in elementary, middle school, high school and higher education, Dr. Miller excels as a business education instructor with Guilford County School's Grimsley High School. In this capacity, she helped refine school curricula, developed an onboarding process to improve teacher retention, and met with parents and guardians to discuss student progress. Similarly, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she managed safety protocols. Previously, Dr. Miller oversaw a $50,000 departmental budget for Catawba Valley Community College, where she also served as an adjunct business instructor.
Over the years, Dr. Miller gained valuable expertise in the field as the assistant principal intern and business education instructor at East Forsyth High School. Similarly, she served as a high school varsity softball and basketball coach and dedicated herself to her country as a private first class automated logistics specialist with the United States Army. Before embarking on her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix. Subsequently, Dr. Miller expanded on her professional knowledge by earning a Doctor of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from Walden University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Queens University of Charlotte.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Miller aligns herself with the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society, Zeta Phi Beta, and Alpha Phi Omega. Outside of her work, she dedicates herself to others by volunteering in community. In recognition of her outstanding body of work, she has been named a Most Valued Player in Softball and Basketball and won the All American Award from the Women's Football Alliance. Likewise, she won the Solider of the Year Award from the U.S. Army and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Miller takes the most pride in earning her DBA and devoting herself to her country through the military. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her faith in God and persevering despite the challenges she has faced. Looking forward, Dr. Miller intends to establish her own school alongside her wife.
