His career also includes a decade-long tenure as a principal engineer in research and development at Sealed Air Corporation from 2005 to 2015, where he contributed significantly to advancements in food packaging technologies. From 1998 to 2005, he was a principal engineer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's compound science department. Earlier in his career, Dr. Campanelli served as an assistant professor at Concordia University in Montreal from 1995 to 1998 after completing his postdoctoral fellowship at DOMCO Industries from 1993 to 1995. He began his career as a development engineer with DuPont Canada's Modified Polymers Group from 1987 to 1989.

Dr. Campanelli attributes his success to divine grace, constant support of family and friends, innate curiosity about polymeric materials, and an unwavering passion for his field.
Dr. Campanelli's initial foray into the profession began with DuPont Canada before pursuing further studies that led to his doctoral research on recycling PET polyester. After academia, he transitioned into industry roles that culminated in his leadership position at Zeus Industrial Products.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Campanelli is actively involved with charity work through his church, which underscores his commitment to giving back to the community. His contributions have not gone unnoticed; he has been honored with a number of awards for his work.
