During the early stages of her career, Ms. Postek gained valuable expertise with Great Lakes Orthodontics and in animal management as a grooming manager with Nails and Tails and as a zookeeper with The Buffalo Zoo. An expert in her field, she earned an Associate of Arts in commercial and advertising art from Bryant & Stratton College in 1990. Subsequently, Ms. Postek expanded on her professional knowledge by completing an Associate of Applied Science in animal management from Niagara County Community College.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Ms. Postek is affiliated with Western New York Alliance of Home Inspectors. Outside of her work, she has recently fostered a passion for writing, publishing a book titled, "Seeing the Forest Through the Trees" under the pen name Sylvia Stone, in 2022. In "Seeing the Forest," she aims to inspire those who may be struggling and help readers realize that we are all connected through our struggles. While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Postek takes the most pride in preventing others from experiencing potential disasters during the purchase of their home.
Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Postek credits her success to her maternal grandparents, who instilled in her a strong work ethic, and the challenges she has faced, all of which have made her more resilient and self-reliant. Looking toward the future, Ms. Postek would like to secure a publishing contract with a traditional publishing company and expand her home inspection business.
