Ms. Hunt-Washington is a therapist and licensed clinical social worker who has devoted much of her career to supporting clients' emotional health and growth. Before beginning her journey to becoming a therapist, Ms. Hunt-Washington found success working as an administrative assistant. Faced with changes to the industry and inspired by her personal background to help others on their path to wellness, she decided to return to school in 1994, and enrolled at Metropolitan College of New York, which awarded her a bachelor's degree in human services in 1997. In 2002, Ms. Hunt-Washington completed a Master of Social Work at New York University, and she holds a licensed clinical social worker credential. She is currently working toward a certificate in cognitive behavioral therapy for self-esteem and eating disorder interventions through the SWEET Institute.
Ms. Hunt-Washington began her clinical career with Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, and became a provider for LICC in 2010. In 2023, she established her own private practice, KLN Clinical Services NYC, where she works with adult and adolescent patients in addition to providing family counseling and adoption support services. Ms. Hunt-Washington specializes in guiding clients through challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD as well as management of complex diagnoses such as narcissistic personality disorder and eating disorders.
As a part of her commitment to professional growth, Ms. Hunt-Washington is a member of the SWEET Institute and the National Association of Social Workers. She is active in her community as a volunteer at the Mt. Moriah AME Church and has worked with area hospitals on charitable outreach projects in the past. Ms. Hunt-Washington credits her success to the empathy and compassion that she developed as a result of overcoming challenging circumstances, and is motivated by her philosophy that all people have the power to positively impact others. In her personal time, Ms. Hunt-Washington is an avid filmgoer who enjoys watching documentaries, British television, and mysteries.
