Prior to launching his most recent business, Dendritics LLC, Mr. Croteau established himself as a successful business owner of four companies. His first venture was Sealpro Inc. founded in 1980, an industrial seal and gasket company that provided seals and gaskets to maintenance personnel. Subsequently, he established a machine shop that specialized in repairing several types of industrial pumps, including boiler feed and snowmaking pumps, as well as other types of pumps that could be rebuilt and refurbished. His third venture was in the field of industrial coatings—specifically in concrete repair, waterproof coatings for water, wastewater treatment plants, tanks linings, secondary containment and epoxy flooring.
Following those three ventures, Mr. Croteau started another business, New Image Coatings LLC, and branded Seal-Once, a waterproofer nano particle, non toxic and very low voc water-based for wood and masonry surfaces. He served as president and owner. After selling Sealpro and New Image Coatings he retired for five years and began planning his next venture.
Most recently, in 2020 he founded his latest enterprise Dendritics LLC with Mike Cork a chemist/scientist in polymer chemistry with 9 patents in polymer chemistry. Along with providing invaluable support, Dendritics has a purchasing department in Manchester, NH. The purchasing department purchases the raw materials and has them shipped to a polymer manufacturer in Vermont where the Dynaseal products are made. Though the process of integrating his various business entities has taken some time, Mr. Croteau has made considerable progress, not only as a business owner but in establishing himself as a trusted name in the industry.
Aside from attributing part of his success to his key collaborator, he cites his skill of understanding individuals and their needs as foundational to his achievements. Furthermore, Mr. Croteau credits his success to his business philosophy: to focus all his companies' efforts on solving problems.
Similar to his previous businesses, Mr. Croteau founded his latest venture, Dendritics, with the intention of solving a problem. To date, Dendritics has solved a problem that remains unsolved to this day by some of the industry's leading companies and chemists. Dendritics has developed challenging products, namely water-based technologies, such as products that can be applied to wood structures to prevent mold and mildew and wood rot due to moisture ingress and paint from peeling prior to applying on raw wood.
Along with his business success and titles, Mr. Croteau holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In the forthcoming years, he has set his sights on selling his company. Despite his tenacity in his elder years, his entrepreneurial venture is growing and requires the expansion of a workforce, and additional manufacturing space. Ultimately, he hopes to pass along the business to a buyer with more power and resources, who will do justice to the business and usher it into the next chapter of its service to the industry and mankind internationally.
