In addition to the responsibilities of her various professional roles, Mrs. Swicegood has mentored several individuals within the business analyst community over the course of her career.
KNIGHTDALE, NC, January 26, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol-Lynn Clark Swicegood, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. In 2017, Mrs. Swicegood landed the role of Principal Business Systems Analyst at her dream company, Red Hat. Most recently, in 2021, she stepped into the role of DocuSign Administrator, a position she still holds. Since joining Red Hat, she has obtained certifications, such as becoming a certified Scrum product owner through Scrum Alliance in 2019, Certification as a DocuSign Administrator, and other achievements and awards.
Moreover, Mrs. Swicegood was the lead of the Business Analyst Community of Service for Red Hat and worked closely with the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) from 2021 to 2023. She held the position of Network Administrator of Charitable Funds for Wachovia Bank, a position she held for five years. Soon after, she transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where she applied her skill set as an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Manager and Business Analyst for Merz Pharmaceuticals.
After receiving her MBA in Information Technology Management, Mrs. Swicegood joined Northrop Grumman as an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager, contributing from 2006 to 2011. In reflecting on her accomplishments, she cites her most notable achievement as earning a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in 2006 while simultaneously working full-time at Merz Pharmaceuticals and raising her then four-year-old child. During her final year at Northrop Grumman, Mrs. Swicegood took on the additional responsibilities of Information Systems Manager and earned a Certificate of Achievement for Project Management from Villanova University.
In 2014, Mrs. Swicegood took on contracted work as an IT repository manager through Adecco Group, contracted to BB&T. Over the next years, she worked as an EDI analyst for CARQUEST Auto Parts, under contract with Sphere Technical and as a Business Analyst for MODIS France, contracted to BioMerieux in France and the United States. In addition to the responsibilities of her various professional roles, Mrs. Swicegood has mentored several individuals within the business analyst community over the course of her career.
Mrs. Swicegood loves to teach—a passion that grew from her first experiences teaching information technology and programming classes after she received her Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems at Winston-Salem State University. In all she has achieved, she credits her success to God, her family, and her continuous pursuit of learning and taking on new challenges, which she firmly believes keeps her in a competitive position within the marketplace. Alongside her professional endeavors, Mrs. Swicegood has been engaged as the Manager of her churches food pantry from 2017 to 2020.
She plans to pursue consulting work in her area of expertise post-retirement and reconnect with her farming roots by building a home in Lexington, North Carolina, on the family farmland, gardening, creating a safe space for mistreated animals, and starting a country store.
