Providing programs in all areas of science, her curriculum is designed for individuals between the ages of 4 and 15, with courses ranging from organic chemistry and general chemistry to human anatomy.
Established in 2019, Ms. Mougnieh's mission is to inspire kids to become more passionate about learning. At Kid Chemist, classes are year round and students experience what it is like to be a scientist, research, and conduct hands-on experiments. They also dress in laboratory coats and wear gloves and safety glasses, stimulating their experience.
Kid Chemist also offers one-on-one tutoring in all subjects for all grade levels, including college students. The program also assists with homework from passionate and motivating tutors. Additionally, the program hosts various events, such as career days, field trips, after-school programs, science fairs, and so much more. Among other advantages, parents can purchase Kid Chemist science kits so their children can continue learning from home. Parents can host birthday parties at the facility as well.
Receiving much positive feedback from the community, Ms. Mougnieh is eager about the future of Kid Chemist. As enrollment expands, she aims to eventually begin franchising her school so that children nationwide can benefit from what the program offers.
Ms. Mougnieh graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2019. She was recognized for her recent accomplishments as a business owner with a feature article in the Detroit Free Press and live coverage on Live in The D on Channel 4. Ms. Mougnieh attributes her success to the impact she has on kids. She also notes her determination, goal setting, and never allowing the idea of failure to hold her back.
