Established in 1972, the nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing business assistance, educational opportunities, seminars, training and other services to businesses across the Tri-State Area and the nation, with the goal of expanding opportunities available to minorities, women owned businesses, and veteran owned businesses.
Known for his tireless advocacy and his personal commitment to ensuring equal opportunities, Mr. Robinson is a nationally recognized leader in his field who has been recognized by former President Ronald Reagan, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Governor Mario Cuomo. He has received awards from the Minority Business Development Agency, Small Business Administration, and other respected organizations, and was featured in Who's Who in Business & Finance. Adjacent to his work with the National Minority Business Council, he serves as president of the Minority Business Hall of Fame and Museum and as an advisory board member of the St. John's University Peter J. Tobin School of Business.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, he obtained an Executive Management Program Certificate in business administration and management from the Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business, and he was the first president and founder of the Tuck Minority Business Executive Program Alumni Association.
In his free time, Mr. Robinson enjoys listening to a good book, great music, and staying up to date on business trends and current events. A leader in his faith community, he is an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, New York. Looking towards the future, he plans to continue the mission of the National Minority Business Council, Inc. by expanding opportunities available to minorities, women business owners, and veteran business owners.
