Prior to her current role, Ms. Koren worked with E-Scholar from 2007 until 2014. During her tenure, she was key to the development of a secondary school warehouse system based on a mapping algorithm. This innovative system was adopted by the company for both secondary and vocational education, initially designed for K–12 elementary and high school education, and her work led to the New York state system's purchase of the entire statewide computer program and software. To prepare for her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from Cornell University in 1981. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Science in computer technology from New York University in 1989.
Within the coming years, Ms. Koren intends to continue working with artificial intelligence, an area of study which she regards as her prime focus. She plans to delve deeper into her ideas in this domain and to develop natural language algorithms and potentially machine learning algorithms with the goal of utilizing natural language to teach the computer how to set up her parameters. This would enable her to create a program that would enable her to model her system according to her specific requirements.
