Subsequently, Ms. Coppola expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Barry University and becoming a certified addiction professional, substance abuse professional, and certified alcohol drug counselor.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Coppola aligns herself with the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Due to her vast breadth of knowledge and experience, she has authored several publications, including "Gratitude ls Not Simply a Word" and "I Know You're Ready, But Are You Willing?" both published in Rockers in Recovery Magazine. Similarly, Ms. Coppola presented at the Family System Approach to Substance Abuse Seminar.
In light of her professional achievements, Ms. Coppola has received several certificates of appreciation and recognition for her excellence in social work. Over the years, she received the James E. Dube Scholarship from Miami Dade College, several honors and commendations from the Miami Dade College Center for Community Involvement, and the President's Call to Service Award from President Barack Obama and The White House.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Coppola takes the most pride in successfully recovering from addiction; November 2023 marked 17 years of sobriety. The cornerstone of her success lies in her unyielding optimism and her continued efforts to improve herself. Looking ahead, Ms. Coppola intends to establish her own office to operate her practice.
